I'm looking to pick up an Optima RedTop battery and am wondering whether there's any reason at all to go with the bigger one.
It weighs an extra 5 lbs and has a big more CCA power. But really, the smaller one should be more than adequate. So what would make someone want the bigger one?
some one like me who runs multiples. or someone who lives int he extreme cold
I don't think anyone runs multple RedTops though, do they?
Incidentally... the reason I need to know is the choice of battery will dictate the type of battery box I get for it. They make boxes specific to each type so they properly fit the top terminals.
I use to run multiple Red Tops, I have the bigger one, it has 800CCA's and I live in MI. even though I don't drive my car in the winter, I still have to start it.
