i just recieved my GM supercharger for my 01 Z. which pulley would i be safe with if i dont want to have to change injectors or do an injection to keep cool. i only drive it maybe 3000 miles a year. im assuming the 2.7 is smallest i thought i would ask you guys who know. Oh and what kind of times are possible in the 1/4 with 2.7 pulley, i have a header and full 2.5 exhaust? thanks guys

despite what some may say, i think u should be fine with the 2.7 pulley. that what i use, and i love it. as for times, there's many varied times.

yea 2.6 is good with methanol....or alky.

but 2.7 is good with just the kit, no other mods.

although i only see 6 psi with the 2.6, i think its because my belt is slipping....

but you should be good with the 2.7 inch pulley, and you will love it

I cannot use the pulley boys setup with the new nose drive Magnuson sent. The one they sent has a keyed shaft.

I've been running the 2.6 for nearly a year now with no issues.

Engine is pretty much otherwise stock with just a cone filter and I've got a header and full 2.5" exhaust.

The 310cc injectors that come with the kit are maxed out at 5 psi. If you plan on upping the boost get bigger injectors. It is not a good idea to push injectors to or beyond their max duty cycle. Sure they may work temporarily, but you do not know how long they might last?

Second cooling is a big problem with the M45. It heat soaks noticably even with the stock 2.8 pulley. Water/alky injection would help noticably even with the stock pulley. So yeah you would enjoy the 2.7 pulley the first few times you went into boost. Since the 2.7 spins the supercharger even faster than the 2.8 it is going to cause heatsoak even sooner.

I ran a 14.5 1/4 mile with the stock 2.8 pulley. 1/4 mile times will vary alot since some people do some weight reduction or run slicks or lower the tire pressure and so on before they make a 1/4 mile pass. I had my spare tire sub and amp and all my interior when I ran. No weight reduction at all and 35 psi all the way around on 225-45-17 Continental touring tires. I wanted to know what my car would run the way it sits everyday. Most people only want a 1/4 mile time they can brag about.

I also dynoed it at 214whp. The only mods I had when I dynoed and ran at the track were custom intake, 56mm throttle body, GM SC with stock 2.8 pulley and HP tuners tuned PCM. That is it. I still have the stock muffler on it. I think that the biggest gain came from having Ron Beyer (Shifted) use HP tuners to modified the GM reflash. GM REFLASH SUCKS! I would send your PCM to Shifted instead of getting the GM reflash.
