i wanna do a super charger on my car but i am NOT GOING TO PAY 2,300 BUCKS for only 50 hp.......sooo turbo.......where can i find a good turbo set up or a cheap set up i have cash iin hand ready to buy but i cant find the super charger or ONLY AN EBAY TURBO KIT WITCH I WILL NEVER BUY FROM EBAY NEED HELP PLZZZ
your going to spend a lot more on a turbo kit... but hahn would be your easiest, cheapest, safest bet for someone like you.
i will spend the money but the supercharger for 2300 for only 50 hp is bs for the 2.4...i can buy bolt on's and still have money left over and be the same hp
You need to learn how to work on the car and put together your own "kit" for a lot less money and make more power.

You might be surprised...we can offer some pretty amazing deals these days, and power is by no means assured to be greater with a homebuilt.

I meant relative to the supercharger. Didn't know you offered LD9 kits.

Oh. My bad! We do not offer for the LD9. Thanks for the clarification. By the way, cool Alero!

Y don't y'all if u don't mind me asking it was a pain to pice mine and tune it and well maby that's y
*****BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL*****
first off, english. wow.
second of all. its not a pain at all to piece it. i would say its more knowledgeable to piece your own kit together rather than buy a bolt on kit in a box.
dont get me wrong, hahn has a great kit. but i had a lot more fun and gathered a lot more information by piecing it together.
Ha ha yeah I keep for getting I'm not texting here and yes I did learn a lot puting mine together but I think I just didn't like the whole I ordered every thing and had to wait for it at differnt times and yes last night I was drinking I'm wondering if any body else went with a 2 bar or stayed with a one bar

sounds like you dont have the patience for it. it took me almost 6 months to put mine on, only because i ordered this part here, and this one there. bolted this one on here. and installed this once i got that. you just have to take your time to do it right. if i had to do it all over again. which i would never do, i would still piece my kit together.
so nobody knows where to find THE SUPERCHARGER FOR THE LD9 2.4 TWIN CAM?
didn't you say that you didn't want a supercharger since it wasn't worth the 50hp for you?
Yeah for that money go m62 that will make it worth it
*****BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL*****
it dont matter what i get....i went to the dealer ship and they said they dont have or hurd of any supercharger for the twin cam...i dont wanna BUY A EBAY TURBO so i need some web sites where i can go and buy the kit...i SAID i will buy a supercharger but not for 2300 dollars
be patient. one will pop up sooner or later. just keep your eyes on the classified section
Eat my shift
If you consider all the components to actually run the turbo or super-charger system and convert the engine, you're talking about a lot more than $2300 anyway.
Also, the turbo-charger component is about $1000 (depending on the model) and a roots type supercharger is about 2X that cost. The caveat is that the charger doesn't require quite as much integration therefore the cost could be fairly equal in my OPINION.
go with a turbo setup. it requires more work but the final product will produce more power. if your issue is money then buy all your components used. im sure theres some local stuff for sale on craigslist or forums. ive built a few projects with used turbo parts and saved big. just spend your money in the right place and youll be fine. i also used some of those cheaper chines ebay turbo's and never had a problem so there are cheaper alternatives out there. good luck on your venture. its going to be frustrating but once you start the vehicle it will be all worth it.
Just buy a used or rebuilt turbo... you will not spend $1000 on one. I bought mine rebuilt for ~$185. Piece together your kit, it is cheaper and you will just as good of gains and will get all the parts you want and nothing you don't. Unless you decide to buy stuff you don't want.
And regardless of what route you take (SC or TC) this should help you figure out how much you will spend.
(Amount You want to spend) X 2 = HP Goal
Then you will set a new HP goal. The $$$ will add up quick. Ask anyone who has done it, they will fill you in.

I have more money into my installed mods than the sticker price for my car. I picked up a used S/C "kit" from a Cobalt SS/SC for $1600. I had to order a few things from the dealer, so i was able to supercharge my eco for about $2000. I also got a Modular Pulley System(MPS) and Cobra H/E with it too.
