guys i just got my shifter, and the instrutions are long. i dont have the time to install the shifter. how much would you all think, shops would charged me for a hour and a half job? Do any of u guys have some colored pics to give me instead of the black and white instrutions?

it takes about two hours to stall if you havent done one before

I just installed my short throw on my 04 a little over a month ago. It's really not hard at all. It took me about an hour and a half to install. The instructions say that it can be done in 30 minutes, and now that I have done it once I could probably do it in 30 minutes.

I'm not sure how much different it will be installing the shifter for your 96, but if it's anywhere near as easy as it was in my 04, don't waste your money paying someone to do it. Park your car outside on a nice day when you have some spare time and follow the instructions carefully.

The 95-99 shifter installs differently than the 00+ one and isn't as easy.
