EVERYONE READ FOR SPEC THROWOUT

Ok so ive seen a whole lot of stuff about the SPEC throwout bearing going bad on

people. I just recently bought a stage 3 SPEC. Now does everyone think that since the

bearing is going bad should we just buy another one from NAPA or Advanced or from

someone like that before we go thru the trouble of pulling the tranny putting it back on

just to have the bearing go to crap? Should we look into buying another bearing before

hand so this problem can be prevented? Im sure its a bad design or something by

SPEC but i for one dont want to put it on and have it go bad and have to go thru the

whole process of taking the tranny off again just to replace it with one from an auto

parts store when this coulda been taken care of at the beginning. Just my thoughts tho.

Actually I have only heard of 1 person having that problem. Also I'm pretty sure spec uses a stock throwout bearing anyways. Just to tell you to get a new stock throw out bearing for the getrag is going to cost about $276.00.

John helped me install mine and it it is still workingn like a champ 2 years later. No throw out bearing problems. And the throw out bearing is the same as stock. You may buy a new one and have the same problem.
