Will 225/50/16 tires will look bad on a 98 z24 mag wheel or should i stay with 205?
They'll look fine and give you some extra summer performance. If you use the wheels in the snow though, you may be best sticking with 205 for better all-around traction.
If you're getting summer performance tires and switch to steelies with winter rubber for the cold season, definitely go with the 225/50's on your stock wheels.
Thanks for the reply Wid Weasel.....U made up my mind....The 225 won't rub if i have a sedan? I don't think so, just to be sure.
those 225/50/16 are the same as 205/55/16
So if you go with 205's then 55 is the aspect ratio you want.
Also on the 16's I have, the 205's actually seem like the are too wide. They stick outside of the wheel. a bit.

^^^ i think the same, i dont understand how people like to cram 225 tires on 6" wide wheels.....

I thought people had put the 225's on without issue.
What's the minimum recommended wheel width for a 225/50/16 tire?
I have 225/50 ZR-16 michelin pilot sport all-season on my z and dont have any probs with rubbing, except that my front fender liner is smashed and broken where i hit a curb in an ice storm a month ago. that was fun. bent steering knuckle and lower control arm..
i chose the 225 because you cant go wrong with more contact path to the ground. car handles like a champ. not sure if it is the Z rated or the tire size or both but they are much better than eage rs-a 205/55 that i had on before. your fender wells should be the same size as a Z your suspension is. with the 225's on mag rims i have they are about the size of a base model steelie with tread
