I domt think many people have that size because our cars have enough wheel gap and putting smaller tires would make it look 10x worse. I had 225*45*16 tires on my race wheels and the wheel gap was HUGE. Get the right sized tires!
So then if you have high performance tires on the car now, why the change?
no only will it make your car look even higher than it is, its will throw your speedo off and mess up your milage over time
ii have @!#$ty tires now, i started driving this car full time less than a year ago, and my rents payed for the last set of tires for it, it was like 130 for 2 tires mounted and balanced....they are the worst tires ever. I am wondering if i upgrade to a performance tire, will the sidewall be more stiff?

Yes, my buddy is running 225/50/16 Potenza RE92's?, very nice handling.
If you want lower profile tires with less sidewall flex, you need to get bigger wheels. Putting little tires on the stock wheels is stupid for a street driven car.

i'm riding 225/50/16 and the grip is very good and it doesn't look bad...
Just an upgrade to a performance tire at the factory size will be a big improvement. What is your general complaint about the handling? Are you sure it is the tires that are the suck and not just the suspension itself?
