hey guys looking to get rid of my stock looking to get gunmetals, are they as heavy as chromes? everyone i know that has chrome tells me there heavy as hell and felt a huge diffrence in acceleration with them I wanna go gunmetal for the look but dont wanna become a slug lol
the finish doesnt change the weight of the wheel the construction and metarials used determines how much the wheel weighs. So, gunmetal will be fine as long as you get a lightweight wheel.
The finish can certainly affect the weight. Chrome wheels are quite a bit heavier than painted wheels. Gunmetal is just a colour of paint though, so they will not weigh as much as the same wheel would when chromed.

Thats what I meant, I know chrome added weight, a lot in fact, but gunmetal doesn't, most wheels are painted silver anyway, its not like changing the pigment is going to add weight.
