Wheel Offset +50mm

Does a 50mm wheel offset seem kind of high to anyone else? I've read that you might have to roll your fenders or something with that kind of size but I'm a newbie to this stuff so I'm not sure. The wheel is 17x7 with an offset of +50mm ... suspension is stock now but I am planning on installing agx struts and prokit springs at the same time I toss the new tires on. thnx

My 19's were supposed to come in a 48 mm. offset but I was told that they could hit my suspension or mess with my brakes so I had the shave them to a 42 mm offset

I think the proper offset for a Cavalier or Sunfire is 35 mm to 45 mm...But I think you should stick closer to to 40 to 42...

Correct me if I am wrong....

My rims are +48mm offset and they fit. They are 17's and they fit with my 235/40R17. I even went with 4mm spacers for all 4 wheels.

I prefer a higher offset to lower.

You certainly won't need to roll your fenders or anything. The higher the positive offset, the further into the wheel wells the wheels will be.

5x100 with high offset is generally intended for the Subaru crowd.

The nice thing about having a higher offset is that you can easily move the wheels out with spacers. If the offset is too low... all you can do is get new wheels.
