I'm new to the forum so hello to everyone. Ok, heres the story. I recently bought some rims and tires to go on my 01 2.2 Cavalier, but they were four lug rims. I had some adapters made so that they would go on, but to my dismay both wheel hubs in the back bent. Got those replaced with better ones but i still hear rubbing noise in the back, but there is no way they could be rubbing. i have to say im stumped and am hoping for any suggestions and ideas. almost looks like the drum was bent also but would that be possible?
You should just buy proper wheels for your car. Using the adapter is going to space the wheels further outward and cause a lot of undue stress on your hubs. That's likely what killed the first one and will likely kill the rest.
Sell the wheels to someone who can use them and get something proper for your car.
