Going from 16" to 15" for winter?

Hey guys,

I have an 01' GT and am looking for some winter tires/rims. I was thinking of buying black 15" rims and smaller tires for the winter seasons, and would like to know if it's a good idea? I'm doing it to save money.

I've talked to some people about having smaller tires and they said dropping from 16" to 15" wouldn't really make a big difference because it's winter. What do you think?

If I do go this route, what tire size would be acceptable for a 15" rim?

Thanks
