I have a set of 16-inch Z24 wheels on my sedan and I am shopping for some new tires. The ones I have are Cooper Zeon ZPT tires (
link) which lasted 3 years and 31,000 miles. I might just get another set of the same ones, but browsing around Discount Tire's website, they have some Falken Azenis that are supposed to be super quiet (
link). It might be worth the extra $6 bucks per tire if they are really something special. Something quiet would be nice because I do a lot of highway driving. I am not into autocross or anything, but a good all-season all around tire is what I'm lookin for. Which would you go with, or something else entirely? Oh, the size is 225/50R-16.

i second that... (check the classifieds) but i just recently bought some new tires for my steelies. i wish i liked the z wheels then as much as i do now...
as far as tires... i did a lot of researching and whatnot before i bought my tires. i wanted all seasons as well. ive heard the same pro's and cons back and forth form tire to tire... also heard, "all seasons=no seasons", "all seasons are a waste, you're better off with two sets if you really want the best results"...my decision came down to price because i wanted some decent tires, but didnt want to spend more than i needed.
tires.com has a tire comparison feature (or at least i think thats the site) where you can select several tires and then compare the test rankings side by side...
I looked around a lot before I bought my last set of tires (which was just within the last couple of months), and I ended up buying a set of Nexen N5000's. I've been really happy with them so far. We've already had every type of weather imaginable since I've put them on...snow, ice, rain, and near-summer heat, and they've performed well in everything. I just looked at discounttire, and didn't see them there, but you might find something similar. They're an all-season directional that really seems to shed water and snow well...better than I'd expected. Only time will tell how they'll last. And, they aren't too noisy, either...which is also a bonus. At a minimum, they're keepers until I upsize or purchase some summer wheels.
