Where exactly does this
sill plate goes?
On the door area where steel is at, or the plastic trim next to the carpet? The site does not give a good description.
If some can tell where exactly it goes or can show me a pic, it would be much appreciated .

I don't think so. I think it goes on the metal part immediately under the door. Some of the older 3rd gens actually had a plastic sill piece there but the new ones don't.
i would put it on the metal, because that is the most plain part, and it is flat so the sill thing will stick better, and i do believe it is a stick on peice
I am one that is like that. my 96 has it, the 02 does not. GM's way to save pennies.
So guys in the end, is it on the metal or the plastic? You got me all confused now.

Right. It says rubber, not metal or plastic.
The carpet retainer is clearly plastic, not rubber. So I'd say it's meant to go on the old sill cover which is no longer put in the cars. So on the metal.
^^Yeah, because they stopped putting the plastic pieces in after a certain year, right?

Yes, the newer cav's did no thave them, but yet you can see where they would go. I got some from the yard and attached them on my 00' with 3M tape. That says it goes over the existing rubber piece, but i'm not sure how it would attach. It would probably look better anyway to remove the stock rubber one and put it in it's place.

is it an overlay?
that would be one expensive ass overlay
I was hoping to use it on the plastic curvy portion. I have a step-pad that says: "Pontiac" located on the steel.
The details on where it goes where not to specific and it was confusing.
I really thought it would go on the plasitc, cause look how wide it is. It almost looks like it does not fit in the steel location.

^^^thats what i meant when i said the plastic trim piece. on my 97z i have a plastic piece there (about half the length and twice the width of the trim piece on WW's car). thast why i said it replaced the trim piece. im assuming thats what you guys were saying wasnt put on new cars.

Bringing it back up to clear up some things.
Well, I finally got them and they go on the inside of the car on top of the long plastic piece next to the door, not on the metal. It is held up by 2-sided tape.
These are not the same as the RKSport ones. Oh BTW, they look really nice.

Nope^^
It has some clearance, if GM approved to sell them, I don't think GM would let any rubbing or bad fit happen.
As for the pictures, sorry people. Maybe late this month I'll take some.
