Does anybody have a good method to pull these out without busting/scratching them?

I have to remove my CF radiator cover this weekend to get the car ready for bumper painting (figured I'd rather do it than trust the body shop guys since it's kind of fragile) and I busted every single one of them the last time. Plus I don't want to slip and scratch the expensive CF part.

I just used needle nose pliers on those rivets to get mine off.

yeah, i just took some pliers and grabbed hold of the part you push in, they just pop right out

if push comes to shove you can get some at the dealer for next to nothing

ok ur all talking about thoes little plastic things that hold the cover on correct well if you are yeah just use plires like they said

I dont remember how I did it before but I really screwed up!

just make sure when u pinch them you pinch on the part where the notch is, not the 2 open sides, that helps them alot

Note that you only pull up on the small part in the middle. Don't try to pry the thing off like you do with interior trim plugs.

I pull them with the needle nose pliers and brok like 3 of them.

Really?? How'd they break? Once the middle pops up, they're completely loose and you can just lift them out with your fingers.

i find in the winter when i try to pull them out, i break them all..but in the summer they come out no problem...i'm guessing because of the temperature difference

That's entirely possible!

Use side cutters, just dont snip them off. they work better because they slide under the center tab and then all you do is pull up on the side cutters adn you are good to go.

if you have the panel popper for interior pannels it will take those out in a few seconds, if not, get a old (but strong) fork....slide the little part that stick up inbetween two of the tongs and pop it up...
