i saw these on ebay, and i wonder if they are completely OEM style? i remember seeing a lot of people asking for these things so they wouldn't have the long bars on the trunk, just thought i'd let everyone know

it is just a strut and i thinkit might be a little over priced.
bah....about two years ago i bought a "lambo door kit" on ebay. those are the shocks i was sent. ive probably still got them somewhere too.........what a POS

The shocks for the convertible trunks are about $140 CDN each from GM. I priced them out because atleast one of mine is failing.

The key to doing this mod is the hinges though, not the shocks.
You obviously need the shocks as well but they're useless without the hinges.
On this topic though... has anyone actually done this? I'd love to have it but I don't know if the convertibles are reinforced for this or if you can just bolt it on to any other coupe...
I'd hate to bolt it down and have it just bend the hell out of the metal around the trunk.
i will check out my reinforcement around that area and let you know.
i thought they were the hinges in that bag, not just the shocks. oh well, just thought i'd put the possible word out.
