well over the winter it got pretty cold out and i have a manual tranny on my 02 ls sport and it was so cold out that when i shifted it broke the plastic clips that haled the boot in place. i called the Chevy dealer on a price for a new one and they wanted $50!!!!
i checked out the A Plus Performance site and i noticed they had replacement shifter boot that you can buy off them in any color for 29 bucks with shipping so i bought that this morning in the charcoal color hoping that it matches my stock shifter color.
ill get back to everyone on the new shifter boot when i receive it
you broke the clip on the plastic thing that the boot goes over? you will still need the plastic thing with jasons boot.

mine broke last winter too. I had to get one from the dealer as the plastic clip shattered. I made both and e-brake and shifter boot from black suede for under $15. I bought 8 square yards of it from a textile shop for $35
the only thing you can do to prevent that from happening is to make sure the car is good and warm before driving it.
good luck with the new one
8 square yards??
... ur doing more than just the boots right? you need about .5 sq. yds. for two boots.....

You can probably get the whole console with both boots in it from a wrecker for $50.
