does anyone know if the guages from a 99 z24 standard are the same as a 99 cavy auto. if anyone can post some pics of their 99 auto cavys guage clusters , it would be much appreciated

Only the Z24 auto has the tachometer. It also has the auto gear indicator text on it (P, D, 3, 2, N, etc.). It will fit, but look ugly. A quick search on google or ebay will get you pics.

So the short answer is NO.

I beg to differ, my 98 Z24 5 speed had a tach, and I know many a person with a 99 Z24 5 speed with a tach.

You should really know what you're talking about before posting an answer like this to someone's question. Z24 5 speeds and RS 5 speeds have tachs. Here's a pic of my old cluster out of a 98 Z:

Geez guys I'm not stupid... of course 5 speeds have a tach. He specifically asked about whether the AUTOMATIC gauge will fit his 5 speed.
