sanding takes forever. if you want it smooth, your gonna spend a lot of time sanding
get an electric sander from walmart for 30 bucks, its called mouse, black and decker makes it, its the @!#$!
i got an electric sander from wal mart. its some kind of finishing sander thing that uses 3/4 sheets. i paid 20 bucks. they didnt have the mouse i looked. but anyways its still taking forever ill have to try 80 grit cause its just takin hella long.

wouldnt 60 grit be a bit much. also im looking at the door and im seeing the crappt fabric there in its wild blast of grey mini reds and blue and im thinking..... if i paint that also with fabric paint. willl it look aight?

yeah. peal off the fabric(PIA) then go to an audio place or something and get some colored carpet to put in its place.
^how hard is it to fabricate things? i mean do i just cover it over and say there we go? a guide or help with this would be great.

Well, peel off the carpeting around the speaker area on the door panel, and then get off all the goo it leaves, use some goo b gone or some type of adhiesive remover. Then you going to want to scuff it up with a thumb tack or something, your also going to need to get a can of 3m super90 from home depot, that is spray adhiesive. Try and make a paper cut out of the shape you need, then transfer that to a piece of cardboard or something stiff, then use that to cut out the shape of your carpet, then you just spray both the back of the carpet and then the door panel area, and stick it to the door. Read the instructions on the back of the adhiesive can before doing any spraying also. hope this helps,
Using 60 wasn't too bad, it got the design off with no problem, it just required extra sanding when it came to the 80, 120, 220, etc. Turned out looking good thuogh
extras sanding is bad
I hate sanding but I will never stop doin it cause the outcome is amazing
