Where can I find a Voltmeter and gauge pod and is it easy to install. or are there any easy meteres that can be hooked up on a 99 Z24?
They're all easy to install. You just hook it into any 12V source and to ground.
Just be sure to make it a switched source, or it will stay on all the time.
Does it hurt anything for it to be on all the time?
I hooked mine right up to the battery - no bad effects so far...and since I can't actually SEE it on since I'm not in the car, I try not to think about it.

I got a gauge from somebody that decided not to use it. Went to autozone and got a universal pod. Used lots of heat froma hair drier to shape the pod to the piller. I taped the gauge into the ignition switches yellow wire for 12v source with key on and ground the other wire. Looks good for now and works well.

I don't guess, as long as you have a good battery.

And if it's draining the battery... well at least you'll know as soon as you get in the car and see what the gauge says.
