Greetings all,
I have a 97 cavy with factory express down power windows.
When I put down the driver's side window, it starts going down at the normal speed, but then it slows down and stops. To get it all of the way down (or up) I have to wait a couple of minutes and press the switches again. If I do this several times, I can get the driver's window up or down completely, but it is a PITA!
I'm thinking the window motor is dying, especially because it's the driver's door. But I'm just guessing.
Can anybody tell me if I'm correct?

you need new motors. and a little tip keep the tracks lubed with lith grease or you will have to do it again

yeah. umm i just went through installing a new motor, after the original completly stoped, and the new one is still extremly slugish, i was very disapointed....... still need to do the grease thing.........

any one know where i can get those little mounting tabs that are on the window motors?

why not just buy some off ebay for like 30 bucks? i dont have power windows so i dont know about the price but that doesnt seem bad to me.
ya i have the same problem with my passenger side motor except its only when im rolling it up it stops about 3/4ths of the way up and i have to wait 3-5 minutes to roll it up the rest of the way. im buying new motors for both at autozone not sure how much they are but i get a discount. so just find someone that can give you a discount on new ones that way you dont havve to worry about them going out ne time soon.
