Blue Cav Customs is looking to expand our line of products by adding diamond plate interior accents. This is not actual metal, but a vinyl that looks just like the real thing. Unlike carbon fiber vinyl, which looks like crud and I would never sell you, this is actually a very nice option for those of you who have some true diamond plate and are looking to accent the look. Plus, there is no way to fit the real plating behind the various areas where a sticker or CF sheet will work.
I'm looking to sponsor someone with the following:
DP door inserts
DP shifter panel
DP dimmer (fogs or no fogs)
DP hood latch
DP gauge bezel
DP HVAC face (light will NOT show through)
DP magnetic hood and trunk inserts
Just send me a pic of your DP interior and I'll pick a winner sometime this month, assuming there is enough interest. Winner will be required to install all parts and take pictures within a reasonable time.
If this product works out and we can generate a few interested buyers, I can begin work right away and begin shipping. Will do so in an upcoming GP.
Even if you do not currently have a DP scheme, and are just thinking about it, please post here so I can know how much interest there may be.

Say what you will... but fake vinyl diamond plate is every bit as ghetto as fake vinyl CF.
Are the diamonds on it even raised, or are they just printed on?

Damn, WW - you're gonna kill the interest in this before I even get started...
Anyway, it's sort of "carved" into the chrome vinyl, not printed. It actually looks pretty good, I would not try to sell it if it was as cheesy as the fake CF is.
Like I said , if there was any way to install real DP in these areas, I'd make the parts out of the real stuff. I don't feel that it's ghetto when it's the only realistic way to do it.
I'll take some pics soon so others can judge for themselves.
Right now, Looney Tuner seems to have the inside track toward getting sponsored IF we can get others to take an interest.

Nothing personal. You should see how I react to fake carbon fibre.
You'll find people who are all over this just like people put on fake CF windshield wipers and think they're the bomb.

lol - yeah fake CF is shipped directly from Satan himself. I had some altezzas with that crap on them but finally got rid of them when I switched to my new scheme.
Trust me, though - this stuff is pretty cool. Looks like someone actually put some effort in designing and prodcuing it.

I don't currently have any DP but I would be interested in this depending on what it looks like. is there no way you can get a picture of a sheet of it and then a close up of one of the diamonds so we could see it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is a little sceptical of anything that is fake. nothing against you Blue Cav, I have seen some of your CF and if the money was available I would be getting some.

to me, any thing Vinyl look alike is garbage. If the real deal is available, than do the real deal. Not the fake ass cheap way out.
Custom to me does not include cutting a sticker and putting it on, But actually fabercating it.

I never once asked for any opinions on the DP decal, only for people who wanted to give it a try.
If you think its a "cheap ass way out" then simply don't ask me for any for your car and let others do what they want.
And anyone who thinks that they can take REAL DP and cut a working shifter panel or dimmer switch cover out of it is hereby challenged to do so - I'd love to see it.
