i turned on the passenger side map light last night to get my cd case, and when i went to turn it off, the button on the rear-view wouldn't click in place.....i guess what im asking is how do you tear apart the rearview in an 03 sunfire? with that, anyone have any other advice to what i can do? i thried blowing it out with a can of air duster, thought maybe something got on the latch, but it didn't work... thanks guys
heh. This is the push up button they started putting in for 2001. Stupid mirror. The older ones with the switches on the front were way better.
I had the same thing happen within a year of getting my car. Had it replaced under warranty. I asked them to get me the older style mirror and they said they couldn't.
Haven't had a problem again with it since though so it may have just been defective.
If you're under warranty still, just go to a dealer and have them replace the mirror.
unfortunatl not....the previous owner voided it some how....thats what i was told any ways...ill stop by the dealership and see how much they are...im sure its gonna be a pretty penny...
I'd get some details on that. If the car is within the 3 years or whatever miles you get, then there's nothing to previous owner can do, short of writing off the car, that would void it. Unless they've modified the mirror, the warranty should apply. Don't let a dealer rip you off!
thanks wild weasle...they took care of it for me.
Excellent! Now send me some beer money...
The dealer TOOK CARE of something?
Holy crap, you are witness to a true miracle - Congratulations!
