How much are you looking to spend? We have quite a few different brands.......

You shouldn't be using a harness without a roll cage.

^^^ This is true, unless he plans on attaching them to where the back seat is

Where he attaches them is irrelevant. They will hold you upright in your seat and are a danger in a rollover accident. A normal 3-pt belt will allow your body to move sideways to the center of the car in a rollover.

The attachment points are important as well, though for different reasons.

Get a set of sparco 5 point harnesses. I run them in my ls1 and their great. I agree with above statements, get a cage if u want to hook up the harnesses the right way.

If your going to have a harness for the driver you better have one for the passenger as well. Cause if you don't its going to look extremely ugly.

well i may do it one at a time..the bar will have mounts for both....its a money thing for now tho..as for a roll bar i may make hoops over the seats on the harness bar for a bit of protection..keep in mind its more for looks then anything..its not fast....yet..so what do you all have for harnesses and how are they for daily driving?? phil

Even slow cars roll over now and then.

If it's just for looks, then have fun with it but when you're driving, wear the stock belts.

As I said, it's more dangerous to have the harness if you don't have a roll cage.

When you start messing with the safety systems in a car, you have to realize that you're not an engineer and may not understand all the complexities of what you're dealing with. While you think you're making an improvement, you could actually be taking a big step backwards in safety.

This is one of those cases.

There's a reason stock belts are designed the way they are. To get added safety from a harness, you need a roll cage. Then, with a roll cage, you either need a whole bunch of padding or you shouldn't be driving without a helmet. You can see how this all becomes pretty impractical for a street driven car.

Your harness CAN be useful if you're autocrossing though, where there's pretty much nil chance of a rollover, but realistically your racing seats are going to provide all the bolstering you need so you still don't need the harness to hold you in place.
