Why would you pay dealer price? E-bay em or get em cheap from a junkyard.

Yeah I was thinking junkyard + pocket. Only problem is the closest one is like 25 minutes away. I thought the stock ones lite up white... not red? I don't remember its been so long since I've had them. I found someone on ebay who sells the "clear" ones. They said they would ship me the normal ones if I won the auction.

dude, your pretty much getting the ones i have for free(shipping is like 1.50 at the most). they light up red cuz the sunfire interiors light up red at night.

The Cav ones light up bluish green and the Sunfire ones light up orangy-red, just like the gauge clusters.

Cav knobs have black rubber, Sunfire knobs have grey.

The light colour comes from the little white strip. The back of it is the colour it lights.

go to the junk yard looking for something and while you're looking put little stuf in yor pockets ever time i go i always take a handful of bolts and fuses make sure that you distrubute themm evenly so when you walk in to pay for the big stuff they don't see one bulging pocket

Vents and very small interior peices can be pocketed too..

But yeah David, just go to Dads Junkyard off of 31 and pocket a set.. Tell them you need to go back there and find something and when you come back, tell them you didn't find it. Or find something else you need and haggle the price down =) I got a $50 peice for $15

I've never had to steal little things from the wreckers.

I just gather them up and bring them to the counter. Then they say "Don't worry about it... " and I walk out.

Free parts and no guilt.

Maybe the people at the wreckers I go to (and there's more than one) are just nice or something. When you walk up with something they don't inventory and have no expectation of ever selling, they're more than happy to have you take it off their hands.

I'll hit one up tomorrow and let everyone know how it plays out.

I got a set today at $0. Went to that yard off of 31... thanks scott. I've never been there before, I didn't realize it was as big as it was. The guy who owns the place was being a real d!ck at first. He wasn't going to let me take them without selling me the whole hvac panel for like 40 bucks. But I finally found the guy I talked to on the phone who told me I could come get them and he just gave em to me. So all is well. Anyone interested in a set of billet knobs?

Same here, the guy I visit always tells me "Don't worry about it, I'll charge you double next time!". He never does, though I've never needed anything big .
