It has been a dream of mine, ever since I started adding blue LEDS to my vents, to one day replace EVERY single lighted object in the Blue Cav with blue lighting. That day has finally come! My friend, Buzz122, who I met right here on JBO, is a true electronics genius. He can do things with solder you would not believe. Not even Alex at Black Cat Customs was willing to do the custom things that I asked. Buzz122 not only gladly tackles the impossible, he goes in and gets the job done, the right way. Everything he has ever done for Project Blue Light has come out perfect.
And now, without further ado, I am proud to reveal the end of a long, long road. Every warning light, every turn signal, every odometer, needle, LED, gauge, underbody tube, radio display, vent light, dome light, map light, switch and instrument indicator of every description is BLUE! Project Blue Light is DONE!
DAY PICS:
NIGHT PICS ( I know they suck but clear night pics are hard to come by) It may appear in the night shots that some of the warning lights are brighter than others but trust me they are even, just like the stock ones.
These do not even include the blue lights in my door switches (5 per door), all of my door lighting, kick panel lighting, and all of the stuff under the car, door handles, etc. As soon as I get the cash, I plan to hire a professional photographer with the equipment to get clear shots and will post them then.
Thanks for looking - let me know what you think. Sitting inside the actual car at night with everything on is 100x better than anything these pics can hope to represent.
Steve
absolutely amazing, now do mine
nice ..... i think that would look real good if u tinted the plastic thing
in front of the gages i did it looks good i think
That looks AMAZING!!!
You dont need a professional photographer. Put the camera on a tripod, turn off the flash, adjust the necessary settings (play around with it) and take the pics.
wow
I WANT THAT
lol, that is incredible...i wish i had those skills
* * BIG FOR SALE POST * *
ohhh myyy goodness... how much did you say he charged you for that cluster?
i am definitely interested in getting a hold of him...
I gotta tell ya, I'm jealous. I love blue lights, and your gauges and what not are just awesome. Great job man.
i have an extra cluster i took apart what size and were can i order leds to do something like this
2unique - lol, the warning lights aren't on ALL the time - I had to snap those pics in the 2-3 second window that they appear when you turn the key.
I will look into getting a tripod over the weekend...
and maybe a light tint WOULD be nice...
I got the LEDs from a place called ledtronics.com
you may need Buzz's help to find the right part# becuase he knows what resistance, etc is needed. I don't know if just anyone can do this, though. The LEDs are smaller than 1/16" x 1/16"...not saying you guys don't have mad skills, but apparently it was HELL
Thanks for the comments - keep em rolling!
PS - I know its not nice to show off my CF interior parts when some of you guys are waiting for yours from me, but I'll have everything in the mail within the next few days and you will see that it has been well worth the wait. Jason will have a bunch of stuff in ready-to-ship inventory soon as well, but I'm sure it will sell out fast!
now thats nice just give the interior a different personality

think you could post any info on how to change the odometer to blue? Though I do have a sunfire which is normally lit up red. Any way I could solder in one from a cav instead?
