you gotta push the seat towards the passenger side of the car while you pull it down theres a stub there that it is on and you need to line it up right to get it off.

best way i can think to describe it this early in the morning

Yep just make sure youre pushing it towards the passenger side, and I think it has to be at that certain angle.

I took the bottom cushion off (just pull straight up from the front) then unbolted the entire assembly for the back of the seat. Much easier since I couldn't figure out how to get that off either.

I have an 00' and I don't think mine had a clip. Think of it as a toilet paper dispenser seriously....

It has a knob on both sides and one side is spring loaded. Push hard to both sides and take a look, see if it has a clip. And don't worry about the 45 degree angle, try it all different angles.

If its there, there's a black clip on the passenger side hinge. That gets removed first.

Then, fold seat to 45* angle while trying to slide the seatback to the passenger side.

When its at the proper angle, it will slide off the driver's side pin.

Installation is reverse.
