i just wanted to clear up that u CAN clear coat over primer
my older bro said it wouldnt be smoth enuff to do it that i would need to sand but i think he's wrong its perfect and smoth and i wanna clear it to protect it now
so can i or not ?

not to mention you HAVE to sand it to be smooth. you just dont spray paint and it comes out smooth
ok put it this way my colour theme is dark gray and light gray and the gray primer is perfect colour and its the perfect texter that i want to i just want to clear it to protect it and to give it a bit of a glossy look so0 again

to answer youre question yes u can but u might want to wet sand it with some very fine grit sand paper before to get it smooth as glass

it doesnt go on perfect. if you want it smooth it needs to be sanded down. paint does not lay evenly. it may look smooth but its not. get some sand paper work your way up to 2000 grit then wet sand, then clear it. yes it will still look like primer. the clear coat doesnt change anything to it, it just gives it a glossy look. it will look like glossy primer.

whats with the name calling? i just offered my opinion on what it will look like, and yes even clear coated it will still look like primer. shiny primer but still primer. since you cant seem to take any reccomendations without name calling i'll just add you to my list of asshats and never reply to any question you ask again.
