is there any possible way to remove the stock shift knob and switch it to an after market shift knob on a manual 2002 sunfire?
yes there is. I cant remeber what to do but its not hard at all. its been about two years. but again its real simple.
it makes it easier if you read the sticky
twist and pull to remove knob
some have a small clip in the..pull the boot downand look by the bottom youll see a small metal clip. remove that and pull..and yes some you just twist and pull..phil

as mentioned if people read the sticky it says the 95-99s have the U clip and the 00+ do not
odd my 2003 did have a clip..And my 95 did have a clip....guess like always i have stuff that doesnt match up lol..phil
would it effect my shifting if i took off the the lever that you lift up in order to reverse...or is that lever just for safety?
