jsut as the title states. ive searched. and to no avail i couldnt find anything. not even a how to. the how to in the FAQ does not work anymore. so about how long with all the proper tools does it take to get the dash outta a cav.

I got one out today in about an hour and a half. Including removing steering wheel heater controlls and air bags. I had never done it before. So for someone who knew more what they were doing it would have been quicker I am sure.

The FAQ works fine for removing the dash pad and bezel, just can't see the pictures for the time being. The descriptions are pretty good. The only screws that are hidden really are the ones under the end caps of the dash. A couple on top of the glove box and the two under the center defrost vent.

I've never attempted to take mine out. I know it's a lot of work. Ethan's hour and a half seems reasonable, though I'd give yourself a couple hours just to ensure you're not rushed and tugging on things when you should be looking for screws.

What are you planning on doing?

I saw this thread from the home page and I knew it was you, lol.

Dude, dont you have an auto-zone?? They rent pullers out. Or you might check and see, I bet the junkyard has one you could use.

I can't imagine all the soldering you're gonna have to do, lol, that sucks.
Hey, get good at it for when I pull my dash to redo my alarm wiring

heh im geting a puller tomorrow. 1 hour 20 minutes WITH the wheel on. i just have to get the puller and it will be out and off. and i can see exactly what all the damage will be. i might just have to replace the gauge cluster harnes. hopefully at least.

but it still didnt cause any damage...

from start to finish, the first time i pulled mine out took me about 45 minutes or so. just follow the dash all the way around. bolts are pretty easy to find. after a few times, i can prolly get it out in 20 mins or so. i honestly have more trouble puting it back in than taking it out, lol
