not to sure where to post this but since it is goin in the interior i will post it here. i'm thinking bout geting a pillar pod for my 03 cav my question is i was plannin on puttin a fuel pressure gauge in there. The last car i put a fuel pressure gauge on was my uncle 77 vega and we had to mount it outside the car i do belive this was a mechenical one dose the eletric one need to be mounted like that. Also dose any one have any other ideas of what gauges to run. I'm not planning on boostin but maybe nitrous so i might be gettin a nitrous gauge.

you could go with fuel pressure, volts, and air/fuel, or water temp, etc

as far as i know, the fuel pressure gauge can go in the cabin

You might need to find/drill a hole in fire wall.

Electrical ones can go in the cabin just fine, mechanical ones (the ones that tee off the fuel line and send a hose to the back of the gauge) should NOT be placed in the cabin. There is a risk of a FUEL FIRE. Thats why the one you placed in the Vega was mounted outside.

You can get a fuel isolator that allows you to put the mechanical gauge inside the car. They're not cheap, but if you want to do this you're going to need one.

Basically, it's a line filled with some non-compressible fluid that goes from the gauge, through the firewall, to the engine bay. Then you attach that to the line with the fuel, so the pressure reading is transferred through the isolator to the gauge.
