Interior accessories...carbon fiber interests perhaps?
Friday, September 14, 2007 10:06 AM
Hey everyone. I figured this would belong in the interior forums since it is dealing with the interior.

Anywho...for my last year of school I have to do a thesis project on any topic I'd like to cover. Being into cars a lot myself I figured why not go into accessories for our interiors.

I know there isn't much really in the market in terms of aftermarket accessories directly towards Cavalier and Sunfire owners, so I was wondering WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE?

I'm trying to gain some research and knowledge to find out what everyone would like to see produced for their cav/fire.
Throw out any ideas/thoughts you may have. I'm just trying to get a wide range of ideas from everyone to see what they would like to have or what they would like to see introduced into the market.

I know carbon fiber accents are at a minimum really, and I know there is interest in that area, so what parts would you like to see produced in carbon? fiberglass? What products are out there for other cars but not the J's that you would like to see incorporated?

This could be wrapping parts / replacement parts anything really, the sky is the limit.

What does everyone have to say about this?

If this is in the wrong forum I apologize.

I'd like a C/F center armrest, but since Titus03 called it quits, nobody else has picked it up...also the standard accents (light control backing, HVAC, the piece behind the door handles, etc)

would it be possible to make a C/F cover for the air bag cover thing? That would probably be dangerous though, one for the stearing wheel would look hot.

i like to see carbon fiber a pillars, 2door rear sides with maybe a spot to put some 6x9 or 6.5'... kinda like the convertible but better lol, hell maybe even headliner, and i agree the arm rest for the doors and center console and the console top or the whole thing for that matter, maybe the seat belt bolt cover on the b pillar, the rear deck, i could keep going but the whole interior would be carbon by time i got done lol

If you all are into the carbon fiber look with out it being carbon fiber I have options for you guys. Uses your factory parts so it has a factory fit and finish. Many other finishes avaliable also aside from C/F. Very durable and weighs less that a C/F wraped piece for those of you who are going to try to argue the weight saving factor... Oh and can be color matched toany color...

Vince...

You know I would buy and help you make anything you would do for me. I am fully willing to send you parts to replicate or overlay, as well as I got some other things I could show you so that items like Air Bag Covers could be achieved SAFELY as well as other difficult parts to overlay.

Contact me next time you see me on MSN and I'll fill you in.
