Well - today she went up on that big flatbed in the sky and was taken to her temporary home to finish what has been the biggest stage on this car. We took plenty of updated pics showing all that I have done to the car over the winter - to appreciate the car you have to see it in person to see all the little details that have gone into it, though.
First off: The updated Spring 2005 pics of Project Sunfire: Stage 5...
Exterior shots - No change to the car since last year save for wax and an INTERCOOLER.
Interior shots: added racing seats, S-AFC, push button starter, triple pod, gauges, and custom short throw ISUZU shifter.
Trunk: No change
Engine: Where to start? Just start looking around and you'll see lots of stuff has changed, moved, been added, and whatnot. Hidden under that black plate above the battery is my MSD and my new filter will sit on top of that when all the piping is done.
Here she is going up on the flatbed - it was close. The guy didn't think he needed wood to get it up onto the truck - he was wrong obviously.
Here she is at dream machines and a pic of her and John: the guy who's gonna finish her up!

Any and all comments and questions are welcomed. I"m sorry for the size of the pics but last time ppl complained they were too small so I made 'em big this time, the file sizes are all under 220k though, the pictures are just at 50% quality.

Love it man. I think I have seen pics of it through every stage. You truly have had a gameplan and stuck too it, and the end result is gonna be one good all around car.

Thanks for the compliments guys - I still have the old front seats beside me here, but they were becoming a hassle to upkeep and really - stock seats hurt your ass! hahaha.
Darkstars, while i am not going to try and change your mind about the interior as we are all very welcome to our opinions, can I ask why you say that? Is it the blue against black? (This is what I figure considering the neutral coloring of your own vehicle)

IMO I just hate painted interiors, unless its done right. Now I'm not saying yours isn't right its just the only time I liek interior work is when its somethign that could pass off as stock for someone who isn't farmiliar with J-bodies or interiors that are just outragous fiberglass everythign paited to match the car (like Big Poppa's interior) which I still don't like but it does look good. its nothign to do with your color choice or how its done I just liek stock appearing interiors. My car for example, I have a pillar pod and racing seats nothign else, this summer I'm reapolstering the racing seats and rear bench seats in matching graphite cloth and doin the headliner/visors/sunroof trim in the same color, for me personally thats my idea of the ideal interior.

Are you at all concerned about the effectiveness of the intercooler behind that center section of your bumper?
There's still plenty of IC in the airflow, but I can't help but wonder if you'd see better performance removing the middle section and relocating your plate to the side or something.
It might not look as good though. Looks pretty damned good just as it is.

Well with the radiator, so long as it's enough to keep the engine in it's normal temperature range, that's all you need.
With the IC, the cooler the better, right?
Very true, but if you look at the way air flows, it wants to flow in a funnel and spread once it passes through an opening... and it will do that over the intercooler... as you can see there is still plenty of IC!
I wanted it stealthy anyway, and I would hate to relocate the plate - I hate having it to begin with!
