so yea whats wrong broen gas strut? i have had 2 customers break em and I broke one myself...

Mabye you should explain what happened? Did you put that little pin in that holds that bottom piece in place?

it never came with a pin.. but you see the round bearing. it swivels right ..
weel thats suppose to sit in that arm of the hinge.
well the shock wasnt broke but pushed the bearing right out of the hinge..
this is what it looks like as i removed it from the arm.
its funni cause hte cop was like yeah thats a toyota right vibe..

i hope i shouldnt be expecting this same problem... i had my issue, somewhat resolved.....but hope this isnt next on the list... how long u have those in before they went? cuz mine have been in since mid feb with no trouble with THAT part of it anyway.

Dave, I have a friend that works at a Shop here, I had my bearing go out exactly like yours and im shure you know by now you cant get it to work anymore. Well He made Me up a aluminum bushing and it works GREAT. IF you want I can have him make you a set for about $40 shipped. They press into the hinge (or rubber hammer) then just slide the steel cap with the gas strut down in it. We will send you a set of pins with it also. Maybe if theres enough intrest I will start a GP? I have pics but you will have to email me for em.
We also have a way to fix struts that had the nipple break off in the cap if anyoneneeds this its a permanent fix for that problem so you dont have to keep replacing them. (this only applys to the nipple on the rod)I had one do this and we fixed it also.
