you do know that 3M makes that in clear dont you?
I know 3M makes the clear stuff... but my dad who is now gone owns/owned a remodeling company, so we have LOTS of rolls of 3M painters tape specifically meant for delacate surfaces, it was more for rock chips then it was for bug guts, worked perfect, lost a couple pieces here and there but it held up very well. The only issue I had was the ride home, the last 40 miles it started to rain like crazy so I was flinging tape everywhere driving down the highway hahahah

I wasn't to concered with that, its a factory rear bumper that will replace anyway, odly enough rear is fine, no chips or anything
Just dont go over 150mph... the tape doesnt like to stick that well haha, my dad and I found that out the hard way when we had his C6 at Pocono's Raceway.

i dont get why people tape the front of there car??? .. it looked pretty stupid a small rock chip which is unlikely to begin with dosnt look as bad as all that
