well heres my cavalier, I've never really officially posted pics because mainly i never felt it was finished, and well it still isn't but i feel like its pretty close
some of you may remember this post where my car was pretty much flamed
basically this is my first car and its been a fun little project that i've been working on with my dads help here and there. we've done all the work on it including the paint job right out of our 2 car garage. i finished most of the projects i had set for this summer except for a nice suspension set up, so i still have that to do next year if i decide to keep the car.
so i turn 18 today actually, and im going to be leaving for college in 2 days. the car will be staying back at home covered in the garage until spring. well enough of me rambling, onto the pics... (sorry if they're a little blurry, i don't have a tripod)
i still do have the lambos, i just didn't have them up in any of the pics, i actually think the car looks cleaner with them down, but their nice to have for shows
any comments are appreciated, good or bad
thanks for looking,
-Tom
i like every inch of it accept the fenders and mirrors, if you like em, thats what matters, nice clean, black, sexy car... once u get that drop taken care of i say its time to spend the money elsewhere, the exterior looks DONE!
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn
hmm...it needs lowered...i personally hate wheel gap but the kit does look nice and i understand the whole kit/car preservation thing. I dunno...those rims look nice...but i think there are options out there that will just absolutely flare your car.....your car isn't ugly by any means, its a nice car...i just think those 2 things will take your car up to a whole new level. Good start though! very clean!
i wouldnt like those fenders if your car wasnt black but i like them on your car. mirrors i would trash the universal mirrors always angle up my buddys civc has them they do the same on his car. i would get stock tails or strip the paint. other then that sexy car man. the paint looks well done for not being done at a shop

I have to say man, other than the lack of the drop, it looks really good.
I like the fenders on that car, with the kit that you have.

a lot of people black out the head lights and corner lights... seen it on black cars quite a few times... this might be going against the JBO grain,... but DONT do that... im just saying this because after looking at the pics again, the stock head lights and clear corners look killer on that black car,

your car makes me want to get body kit before engine stuff ... its a awsome car! only thing i would change ... mirrors and shave the locks on the doors. i love the clear headlights and corners on a black car!!!
keep it up man!!
i have been planning on changing the mirrors, im just not sure what i want to go with, i dont really want to do stock but im not sure. yes, changing the headlights and corners to black has crossed my mind, but i agree with you 1bad02cav it does look awesome having the stock w/ clear corner on a black car, and i decided to leave it a while back
thanks for the comments guys, keep them commin!

at one point i had thought about doing every single one of those mods (except the mirrors) when i had my black 00
that is some @!#$ sex right there
If you cut the front off right after the windshield I think it looks perfect, just fix some things behind that (and lower) and you have a really nice car. It looks good right now, but you can make it even better.
wow, thanks guys, i didn't think i was going to get this much positive feedback
i was actually thinking about selling it next year and getting a manual cobalt ss, but i don't see how i could part with this car, plus it has really low miles
still looking good tom!! i regret selling you that kit. give me it back hahaha j/k looks good though man
very nice turn around! put the mirrors back to stock, lower it, and strip the paint off the tails. youll be perfict

nice RIDE! Why hood pins? And not to sound selfish BUT: I hate seeing my same hood on other people's cars. It is cool because we don't live by eachother. Good choice, I can't blame ya. At the bash in 2003, I LOVED being there with only 1 other Cav with the Turbo Sport Hood.
Anyway sorry for the long dumb post, NICE lookin car FOR SURE!

thanks man
James- i wasn't going to put hood pins even though there was a sticker on it when i got it that said "Proper installation of this hood requires hood pins" but after a little why of the hood vibrating like crazy from the mototmounts and doing some highway driving i starter noticing stress cracks around the latch and i got worried. The last thing i need is for the hood to come flying up on my while im on the expressway not only ruining an expensive hood and cracking the windshield, but possibly causing an accident at those high speeds.
Mine is fine, almost 2 and a half years later, and 20,000 miles, lots of out of state trips and all
but mine was the proto typr hood, so maybe it is a little different.

yes that could be, plus i see that your type j bumper kind of flows up to the hood eliminating that gap, whereas the bc2 doesn't so maybe thats where air could rush in and push up on the hood more?
