dunno what it is..but sounds cool..
Well I know what it is, and after riding around in a few GMs with the cables hooked to there Moates to the laptop I can say this is a kick ass product. I mean its only 1 cable being deleted, but that one cable is a pain in the ass.
Cool @!#$ man, two thumbs up here. I'm gonna have to have my roomie order one or two.

odd. sounds like it could have some kick ass benefits. but is there not any chance of interference from other bluetooth sources? i would hate for something to happen while you were running, ya know?
still cool though

coming back in 2008...
ok..for those that DONT know what it is....think of having HPT, but with bluetooth instead of the cable...this will do all that hpt will do but itll do it wirelessly right from my laptop

...and KFLO was right..before i had to have a big long usb cable running thru my fender, out my hood, and in thru my door if i wanted to tune while driving...now i dont have to worry about any of that

OK, staring at your pics, I have ALOT of questions. Are you using the Ostrich solely for bluetooth capability, or are you infact able to tune on the fly? If you are able to tune on the fly, what software are you using?

Pretty cool but when I'm flashing some sort of rom chip I like have solid cable between the computer and whatever device it is. Would be cool for logging though!

really, i mean other than knowing about it from this post, who is going to take the time to hack into a persons PCM bluetooth?
i guess its possible but that is one of the last things i would think of hacking if i were a hacker

did i say they would hack it on purpose? no now STFU. everybody and their mother has something thats bluetooth enabled or capable, its doesnt take much for someone to accidentally manipulate something.

your car will start talking to you over someones blue tooth phone... you should call it KITT
as for making this for HPT, i doubt it. with HPT you need to go through the interface and the interface needs to plug into OBDII port. for his ECU that is now Bluetooth enabled, he needs to run a cable to the ECU under the hood.
wouldnt it have just been easier to relocate the ECU to inside the car?
