im guessing he means aftermarket springs on stock struts? not sure.
if it has coilovers its not stock suspension
coilovers on stock struts my bad
is that dropzone coilovers you put on?
.....and the new suspension is better how?
Hack.
and kids... this is why we dont put coilovers on stock struts
lol that blows man, sorry to see you had some issues. to get the holes to line up cant you simply turn the mount? i know i could with sportlines... dont know about your setup though.
what exactly are the new components? and why did you keep the stock rear spring mount?
Edited out of kindness.
We've all heard the suspension debate before, I'll spare it in this thread and keep it in PM's as requested by the OP.
Continue on.

hahahaha good one. i brought it to pm so i wouldnt mess up the thread. douche. i am a cheap ass. i admit it. i drive a cavalier. do you expect me to put 20k into a 5k car? never. you keep building your econo cars with tons of money and lose it all by selling it. ill pass. thanks anyways tho
forgot to say. ebay doesnt make a suspension and i have never in my life bought krylon. but you will be the first to know when i do so you can post it up on here!

With what you're saying, why even put money into the cavalier? I guess a horrible ride quality and more broken parts down the road mean nothing to you <shrug>
Boosted 2200, Summer 200X?
i guess that spending the money that i did was better than riding on shattered springs and blown struts.
why even post that you bought new parts if you think putting money into your car isnt worth it? why even be on these boards? why not just buy a stock suspension then?
because i enjoy modding? because ive been on these boards for like 6 years? because these were cheaper? just because i dont think spending more money on a car than what its worth is a grand ole plan doesnt mean i dont enjoy modding
damn son what brand of @!#$ty ass coils did you have? and how low were you running?
i ran coils on stock struts for a few years and never had a problem
Suspension modifications should never be taken lightly. They are a safety issue as well as a performance upgrade.
Going cheap for suspension is the worst idea ever. Regardless of the reasoning behind it.
Goodluck with the new setup. Hope it dosent fail.

wow so you stepped up to dropzone struts? seriously your still going about this the wrong way. you would think by now after busting your spring that you would realize cheapest isnt always the best. good luck in about 2-3 months when they blow.
oh and btw just because that coil was on a stock strut, isnt the reason why it broke. if anything the strut should of gave out way before the spring. my guess is like you mentioned previous, you went cheap.

...and to think...if instead of buying cheap coilover sleeves and then the dropzone kit....he could've waited and spent close to the same amount of money on a decent lowering combo

see you have common sense. the car isnt worth that much so why spend all that money when i can buy like 8 cheap setups
