The replacement is here...
Thursday, July 31, 2008 10:58 PM
Well as some of you have seen in person, the black/white Z is going downhill fast in terms of the body. So it was time to look for a replacement. I bought this car a few months ago, put a new motor, clutch and waterpump in it and sold it to my buddy Mike. Well he recently upgraded to an 06 G6, so i bought the car back.
Since I sold it, its got a new gas tank, new front wheel bearings, new front pads, rotors and calipers and a 2 1/4 header back exhaust. Plus it comes with a stereo and subs, so Im happy. I will be swapping over my suspension and mounts over from the white car aswell as the rear axle since this one is bent.
Here are a few pics that I snapped in my parking garage.

CLEAN interior.

Z rims, these will get some special treatment.

Shaved trunk, this will get painted in a couple weeks.

Clean engine bay, and it has Secret cams in it

And the sub setup.

More pics next week.

Thanx guys.
I really couldnt believe how clean the interior actually was after the spent about 30 minutes cleaning it before I picked it up. Although the door panels and centre console will be replaced, I CANNOT live without power options, so those are being swapped over from the white car aswell.

Crank windows in a Z? That seems kinda outta place. Along w/ the manual locks. Was it a base that got a ld9 swapped in?

Probably not. It has the Z24 seats, Z24 interior door panels, Z24 body kit, Z24 Fog lights, etc...

I highly doubt it.

It was more than likely special ordered that way by the first Original owner.

hahahah, we've gone over this...

my 97z didnt come with anything, NO pw, pl, cruize control or even rear defrost.

pauls 97z has a sunroof and power mirrors but has manual locks and manual windows.

wierd, i know but some just came like that.

Several things:

Sweet another black first phase Z.

Ummm polish the z wheels, you do already have the tires off.

I fear I may be doing the same thing very soon with my 98. Going to attempt to take care of the rust this fall, im not going to get my hopes to high about what i may find.

The rims wont be getting polished, but they will look different

nice man. i remember how the white/black one looked at the bash, there was some rust on it. nice to see you're replacing it with something in better condition. best of luck with the 'new' one.
