I hope youve got big plans, and not try an n/a build and spend a ton of money to only break 14's lol. No offense

Not letting it all out the bag yet, but yes I will be getting in the block.
My short term goal is 14s before I dig inside. Then long term goal is low 12s maybe high 11s. Perfectly obtainable.
When I get there, my wife wants to start racing too. I have a boosted rotary powered Miata planned for that.
surely you cant think removing the trunk carpet is going to get you to 12's?

built or boosted = potential race-car
removing xx pounds of interior = a car without an interior AKA broke dick

BTW they're cleared with a red back. Not red cocompletely
No bashing, just saying Id try to make some power and get some times or weight or whatever before stripping. And unless you plan to strip the interior completely and get race seats//dash stuff/etc I dont realy see the point in taking out the stuff you did as it realy doesnt make a difference.
My friends interior in his neon is completely stripped and runs mid-low 12's with just bolt-ons and a 50 shot. Its scary riding in it, feet on the firewall and pull a cord thing to open the door lol.
Now show me some titties!!!

I do plan on stripping the whole interior. That was just the beginning. I got tired and stopped.

Alexis: Dustin, you're ghey, lol. I am better. I have tits, and tits rule all.
there is just no point to stirp the interior. not like your saving that much weight for all that power you have
Why does everyone think stripping the car makes a big difference? You'll notice the only thing missing from my car is the back seat....and that's for the cage and harnesses. When I run out of power and need a couple tenths THEN I'll go gutting!
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

something needs to be pointed out...
hahn's near 10 second boosted sunfire
ben's near 12 second N/A cavalier
pj's 14.00 second N/A cavalier
brandon fetter's 11 second boosted cavalier
ALL had most if not ALL of their interiors in-tact for their run's.
and thats just the popular builds... i know of many many others into the 13's and 12's that had most of their interiors.

hondas do it. there really isnt anything wrong with stripping interiors. its their car, let them do what they want. i think a stripped civic eg hatch is sexy as fawk, only when its got some power to back it up but still.

You forgot me on that list and I think Ben's car is totally gutted IIRC. I think you switched us around LOL.

Main thing is its his car he can do wat he wants with it, no need to bash him. Whenever someone sees a type s rsx with sparcos and a gutted interior or an eg civic same way its the sexiest car ever
ryne... i didnt mention you because i did not know if you interior was in-tact or not.
and ben's car is only missing fold part of the back seat, carpet, console dash and passenger seat. he did however replace the stock dash with the fiberglass one and put a laptop mount in where the passenger seat is. not to mention a roll cage which surely added every single pound he took out back in and then some. his car still has the door panels, 1/4 window panels, lower back seat and trims here and there....definitely the most gutted of the once on the list for sure though.

If it's a track car, why keep the interior in tact? Seriously, if all he does is roll to the track, race and roll home, what do you need it for? This will make it easier to weld up a cage and setup any reuired safety equipment. My question is, if you're going that far, why not trash all the audio, gut the passenger door, and remove the passenger seat as well?
