looks like he used those plastic door clips that are usualy found on closet doors. Male - > female connector style. Can't see it holding to well in a car accident though.

we have a wiener
out of 94 ga gt. they have metal tabs on the back bar that bold to the back of the car. were the lieelt pillars are between the seat and trunk
