Out With the old in the new, 56k beware
Thursday, November 20, 2008 2:45 PM
I have been away for a while, Never really posted. thought i'd get involved besides from reading all of the post could really use some of you guy's expertise.

i had a white 1997 cavalier coupe automatic.

it was just dropped in this pic. with those crappy ass ebay coilover,( anyone who is thinking about those damn things, never i repeat never get them, i had a headache from riding in my car.)

two weeks later this happened...

As all was lost, and i didn't have a ton of money to get a new car or feel like paying a car note or ridiculously high insurance i got this two weeks later and completely stripped the old cavalier. I learned alot of do's and dont's from it. so 2 weeks later i got this! I fabbed a old intake into this one im buying the ebay AEM imatation on friday.

So its my first manual, i learned how to drive it alreadt i tinted the tails( ging for the red and black theme) its a 2200 OHV i heard that some of you know how to get pretty good gains from it, I have more money at my disposal than the last car and just looking for suggestions about where to start, The more the better i like to have alot of choices.

Thanks Guys

IF you really want to bother hopping up a LN2, and have the money...

Headwork, cam, and boost.

Its just a single cam motor .

headwork and a cam, then a tune and youll have a decently peppy car. With what I have in my profile (everything but a cam and turbo), im quite happy with the performance considering the motor.

ecotec would prob be your best bet if you want to see some gains. get one of those and boost it and keep the stock look of it and you will have a nice lil sleeper haha. i have a 2200 right now its meh after an exhaust and intake but i doubt it will get much better unless i boost it. and drop that on some eibach sports or pros and get the eibach anti sway bar kit with the freedom design front and rear tower bars it makes a huge diff in the handling of the car my car drives like a go-cart now haha. if you need any help working on it let me know ill be glad to lend a hand

Good start....although, why people try to get power gains out of the 2200 is beyond me.
