painted bay with built motor

once again i rebuilt the N/A motor i went with some 11:1 compression pistons and some HO cams.
I also base coated and cleared the engine bay and made a four point strut brace.

diamond 11:1 on the left old wiseco 10:5:1 on the right

Not feeling the color scheme, but Im sure that thing screams! Still using that little stans header? A nice custom long tube with 3" collector would help that thing breathe, thats if you plan to stay n/a forever

Love the brace as well.

I'd love a 4 point like that, but there's that whole NC to IA to NC travel thing

My wife is from Burlington, IA...so if I manage to get some vacation time together I'll see about coming out for a visit.

Nice build. I am not feeling the color choice of the intake manifold and cam towers.

If everything pans out, there will be one this fall. It should work well for guys like Paul and the SC LD9's

not feelin the color or the brace. the color looks like you cleared over primer to give it some shine :/

maybe it was all the crazy ass angles of the pics you took but i just got a headache lookin at this stuff.

now for the real issue at hand, hell ya with upping the comp!! get that beast goin. i wanna see some track time and some motivation for me to do something with my 2.4.

paul... wtf man? that cam tower/manifold color has GOT to go man. you seriously cant think that looks good? i know you better than that...

OMGZ i cant wait til you build me my strut brace like that from *caugh* aluminum *caugh* though

-actually loving the 'its raw and nasty but still powdercoated' theme on it now that ive actually seen good pics.
-the grenade sticker stays no matter what.

cant wait man. this is finally it. your going to hit your goal with this one. i can feel it in my bones, man.

you never did thank me for making the piston deal work you a-hole.

I'm tired of wasting my time... now I'm breakin' free.

the pulley is for an electric supercharger along with the power steering minus the electric supercharger.

none of it is hooked up as you can see, i run my car the same way.

Looking real nice Paul. I would like to see how a build like yours, and some work done to the crankshaft.

If one would consider the clutch part of the crankshaft you have tweeked it. I wonder what a knife endged / lightened and then a really good balance job would be like. It's all about the degrees of refinement. The setup you have now should kick plenty of butt.

bad news guys... his BRAND NEW timing chain snapped in half after like 130 miles a couple days ago. got it apart last night and like 5 or 6 links showed destroyed.

paul thinks valves are fine though....

Holy crap...that sucks!

I really like how industrial the bay looks. The colors wouldn't have even crossed my mind honestly, but I like it, it just looks mean! Hope you get er running [again] soon man!
