Project...ZDD Dash. Complete
Monday, July 20, 2009 10:37 AM

I figured I would post up my newest creation on the zdoubledozen that I whiped up this past week for the Scrape by the Lake show held just north of Niagra Falls this past Sunday.

It sure beats sticking these things all over the windshield. lol and I love my Sirius! Specially where I live that consists of the same music played on the radio over and over again.

C&C always welcome.

As for A/C...
Mine needs to be re-charged, and I enjoy driving with the windows down anyway.

Thanks for look'n

I love it.

One thing I never noticed though, the air-ride pod in the console, I honesty love that more!

Clean!

The sirius power adapter...
That bad boy will be hidden under the dash when I get another dash with a cig input, then I'll splice it into the exhisting one when the time is right.

Thanks fellas..

Joe, I thought you knew about the gauge pod... Im disappointed, you're usually the first one to catch the detailing. lol j/k

Rick... seriously do it up.. but like I said in the last thread, look for a strong LED so you can see the orange needle.. that or I'm going blind lol.

Larry... I did have a picture that said Ruben Studder.. I decided to delete that one cause I knew I'd get some flack on here lol. but yeah you're right, that is ironic lol

Kyle... post up pics

Jason.... I'll be honest it isnt my best work.. there are flaws that you dont see in the pictures I'd be the first to admit it. It was rushed like all of the projects I've had to do hours before a show.
The top right fits nice, and it's easy to remove each component. Right now they're press fitted... and my trial test proved in my favour when I took it on the 401 west of Toronto that has some
nasty road separators. All and all... function +1 Quality +0.5 lol sleep before the show -10.

Jon... no I don't, but the way to tackle this would be PVC tubing that will allow the gauge to fit (if you want the resessed look) then glassed to a cut up center console.

Matt... you're telling me... it's my biggest pet peeve.. that and all the wiring that comes off these things is rediculous.

Brad... same as Jasons reply..

Thanks guys for the C&C. I'm not sure what I'll be tackling next... clean up my stereo set up in the back seat.. or re-arrange the trunk air ride set up. I've been leaning more towards having a summer
with out projects so I can enjoy the car when it's not in peices.

Rob... it's a car show ad card that was thrown in the car when I was at the show.... you can always believe its porn though lol

Kyle... thats money right there. I really wish Easy street didnt cheap out on their controller.. I had the digital kit until the ECU crapped out on me... and I'm still waiting for a reply from Jermey from Easystreet on warrenty since it hasnt been a year yet. Looks like you solved the mystery lol Thanks for posting that up. Gives people ideas.

The only problem i have had with my controller is a loose computer ground. My compressor is a bigger PITA.

As for ideas, i have thought about putting the Tein EDFC controller there. But i dont know if EDFC is going to make it to the car.

For the cupholder gauges, it would be the same concept as making a F/G sub box. Just on a smaller scale. How well can you see the gauges while you are driving? I might be getting ideas.

looks awesome man

as far as the sirius power adapter just cut the plug off and wire it directly its 12 volt, thats what i did in my car and has worked perfectly
just leave enough so you can wire it back to the plug if you ever have to
