so this past weekend the roomie and i went on a trip to enjoy the scenery of the appalachian mountains through the monongahela national forest in eastern west virginia. the colors were just amazing and it was a very enjoyable trip. here are a few pics of the car. the rest of the pics can be found HERE

this was taken in the parking lot for seneca caverns, wv's largest cave. the mountains behind the car are parts of seneca rock



the next few pics show the beautiful fall colors at the bottom of one of the mountains. i love the reds and oranges!





but as we drove up the mountain side further, a strange thing did occur--it got snowy.....








....VERY SNOWY!!! these pics were taken near the top of spruce knob, the highest point in WV. in the course of just a few miles up the mountain we had gone from a nice autumn day to stepping into a siberian tundra. at some points you couldnt see more than a few feet in front of the car, which is very scary when driving on a twisty mountain road







but in the end we made it up to the top and back down without any problems. it was a blast and i cant wait to do it again. hope you guys enjoy the pics.

The pic with the frost on the mountian side and the brown leaves on the ground is awesome.. It looked like a good trip.

that dent got there because jnickel did a small prank on clay, clay went running at jnickel, and clay let go of the car wash nozzle, which hit the trunklid right there. That's my guess as to how it happened

thanks for all of the nice words guys. yeah, there is a ding on the trunk--as paul mentioned, it came like that. ive just been too poor to fix it so far lol

but yeah, i loved it when we got halfway up the mountain and started to run from the autumn colors into the winter ones--it was so beautiful up there!

anyway, thanks again. i cant wait til i get to go back that way--maybe in the spring!
