lol ok so this weekend me, tyler wichers, and paul tjepkes hit up the local you pull it yard... it was whatever you can fit in a wheel barrel for $40. and you had to be able to push the wheel barrel 40 feet in 40 seconds. it was pretty crazy actually, there were people stacking like complete truck beds and car front ends etc on a single wheel barrel. it was pretty comical actually.
needless to say we destroyed two wheel barrels and came home with a crap load of parts. best find of the day was a complete 93 high output quad 4 with NVG-t500 trans. engine was actually good, and in-fact a remanufactured ac delco unit.
all said if it woulda been normal charging between what all three of us got, it woulda been at least a grand.
i ended up getting 8 idi covers, 2 complete 95 intake cams with housings and lifters. a calasis w40 14" rim, grand prix rim and rear lip, dual fan setup, two 95 quad throttle cable brackets and throttle bodies, one 92 quad 2.3 56mm tb, mint calasis w40 gm floor mats, a cavalier cluster. lol just a ton of stuff.

nic ewe have a yard that we go to that does that but its whatever you can carry we got an ecotec 1 time 2 guys carried it out. ps that first quad manifold i would have left it behind

I just picked up a 2.3 myself. To bad its a VIN D but I can get what I need to make it a HO. The 086 on it will probably become my spare. My buddy with a W41 is a little pissed since it has a brand new A/C delete pulley on it.

They used to have $20 days in "Copher Brother's U-Pull-It" back in Bradenton. Before LKQ bought them out. If you could carry it for 20 feet you got it for $20. They had guys going in there and putting two engines on the ends of a pole and then carrying that for the 20 feet. It was crazy to see some of the things people did to get their stuff. Many seat belts were cut out and used like bullet vests to wrap things and carry them that way as well.
Back on topic, NICE finds! I miss going to the yards on my weekends. I used to pay $1 to go in and just wander around for hours. I didn't care if I bought anything, but every once in a while I'd get lucky finds...once was a pair of Flowmaster 40 series mufflers without so much as a scratch. Hack saw them free of the pipes and got them for $9 each! Got a pair of MSD coil packs for my friend for $20...even got some CDs free lol!
