The History (and Journey) of Z2FST4U a.k.a. Sec-Z

It's been a LONG journey here at the org. I have seen many things come and go here, and have learned everything I know about cars along the way. I've attended meets in a few states, and have met a lot of really cool people. I wanted to give a thank you to everyone who has lent me a hand, in one way or another, and for every reply to my posts that inspired my project. I have dug through my computer, and found some pictures that I didn't even know I had. Along it's journey a few things got roughed up, so i am currently in the process of tying up every loose end. In a few days, the car will be completed and then let go to it's next owner. It was hard to put a price on this car, but i am hoping to see another org member pick her up so that I can continue to see her from time to time.

The Beginning

Then the glowing wheels

The Middle

Interior before i got the Tenzo Red/Black steering wheel.

The Break-In

The End.....For Sale $3,500

And one of the loose ends...a newly wrapped dash i just finished for her. (color is bad, cell phone pics)

As always, C&C welcome! THANKS!

MMM... So sec-z :p

Pretty damned good price if you ask me, and at least with the new wrapped dash vs the old one, there wont be massive glare so thats a plus.

Anything under the hood to post?

I just want it to sell fast, that way i don't have to think about it as much. I think the price is steal, the car has 90k miles, and the motor was replaced by GM at 50k.

LAME

I always liked the interior, its a little much for me but its done nicely and have sort of a two tone line top red bottom black kind of thing. well done. That break in looks ridiculous.

Beautiful J..

I have to say, usually I am NOT a fan of painted interiors, but you did a fantasic job on yours! I love the quality on the re-wrapped dash pad as well.

Nice work.

Here's another update...ever since the car was broken into I haven't dedicated funds to replacing the equipment. I want it to be in tip-top condition before I sell it so I went so I went out and bought a alpine CDA-9853 for her. I also picked up a new installation kit and wire harness to replace more sh*t the thief broke.

Tomorrow I will be picking up an amp to complete the system, and my 15" Kicker L7 was recovered a few months back, by the police, at a pawn shop. Also, this week I will be shipping parts to my buddy in Iowa, who is an auto body tech, to get sprayed.

Front Bumper (repainted)
Fiberglass Sub Enclosure (paint red)
New Front Dash Bezel (paint red, thief broke the original one)
Repaint fiberglassed door panels (red/black two tone with glassed arm rests painted black this time)
I might even throw in a few more goodies but we will see

azn- I'll have to see if I can dig up some more pics of the wheels at night. haha.

Tonight I went out and bought an Alpine MRP-M500. There's not enough time left tonight to start the install...but I will start tomorrow and have the system up and running by tomorrow night. BOOM DA BOOM. First $3500 gets it.

Thanks Fox! Good luck on your search Remember it's dual outlet, so dual exhaust will be on the "to do" list afterward!

One of the Fav's...wow, thanks man! That's cool to hear...and you are right, it's a shame. I am scared to think how much I will regret it in the future. I probably won't know until after its gone.

I'm looking forward to seeing yours. The Blue/Black would be a good look! About the theft, it wasn't the first time...my ass should have learned that i needed an alarm after the first two times. We live...we learn. (some of us anyways, haha). The new system pounds. I only got to bump it for a few minutes before I had to uninstall the enclosure to take it home for paint this past weekend. I am anxious to pick it, and my other parts, up this coming weekend!

BROPHY! What the hells up! We had some good times didn't we? Lifes treatin me extra well right now! It's been too damn long though, I say you, Gary, Lance, and I meet up at the next Cars and Cafe on the first weekend of June! We could also meet before, but Cars and Cafe would be sick. I just can't make the May one because I'll be out of the state. Hit me up sometime though, If you don't have my number I'll PM you and Gary.

Fashow69 wrote:Oh btw were did you get your arm rest cover? did you do that yourself? oh Manual drivers FTW!!

I made it. I just unscrewed the bottom of the arm rest from the top, and peeled off the vinyl. Then I filled a couple holes that were in there and then painted it and reinstalled it. Very Simple. Since then I have actually re-wrapped it in the same leather I wrapped the dash pad in... here are 2 pics.
