Hey JCO,
Some of you might remeber me others not.......... so just a quick background..... For those that are new, name is George, and I have been around for quite, quite some time I retired from the scene about 4 years ago but never sold the car....could not ever let it go.... for those of you that remember or might remember when you see the car, hows it going, its been a long long time since I have posted pics years ago more then likely.
Quick background for the those that I am new to. I had the car since I was 15 years old....... and I have been modding it since then.... it just went through its 4th and final overhual it was done 4 times for the show scene the interior changed 3 of the 4 times and now I happy to say that this is the way it will stay. I remeber when me and Vince first started glassing around the same time as each other.... I remember when bummerz car was red and first started, and when Sweetness GT was an intake and HO manifold.
After retiring from the scene alot of people told me that I was a sell out that you can get married buy a house, have a baby and still show your car...... and that I was selling out cause my prioritys changed. Well those people have since sold their cars and left the scene entirely they still come on here and you know who you are so when you read this..... wheres your car now!
When the car was in the show scene I never really drove it much, it was always, finish a show, rip it apart, get ready for the next ... I have put 15000 km's on it since I was 16 I am 24 now.
As I grew up and got married I did not like that way the car looked on the inside, I was unhappy with the way it stood out and the heat score that it was..... so last year I started to tone it back a bit, and go for a what I like to call a modded stock interior look. It really all started when I went golfing last year as silly as that sounds, I saw all the old guys driving their vettes and their impalas to the course and was like wow what a awesome idea, you never plan on golfing in the rain.....so what better excuse then to relax on the course for the day and take your toy to get there....
And the tear down began..... removed everything.... cleaned up all the wires that were put in over the years for multiple tvs, game systems etc.... ran 1 power and 1 ground and ran everything to 1 plug connector nice and clean. Had my buddy spray some interior highlights black and bought a new deck... Then I hit up the junk yard and ripped and entire interior out cleaned it and got it all back together.....
After getting the parts back here is the final result... I am very happy with it... I changed the front grill form red to gun mental gray..... and forgive me where you see red now it will all be gunmetal gray soon....
LAST BUT NOT LEAST.......BEFORE THE PICS
I would like to thank Sweetness GT AKA Chris Gill, for helping solve the issue of my mis-fire once and for all.... you have finally got this car running right !
Thanks for being there from the time all this car stuff started till now bro!!!!!!!
On with the before
And on with the after!!!!!
An exterior shot from the show days
sweet looking 'fire, good move changing the interior from red to black, looks cleaner and not so insane on the eyes. Not too crazy about the second spoiler on the back, otherwise awesome car. I hear you on retiring and coming back to it. A good car project will always keep me coming back lol
Its raining here now and she never sees rain so on a sunny day I will get a bunch of exterior shots
Looking good, love the black interior, but why the white seats?
Not criticizing, just wondering if there is an element to the interior that it matches that I can't see, lol.
Regardless its very nice. Props.
