My car at the JCO Bash
Wednesday, June 09, 2010 9:14 PM
First I will point out some stuff, I lost one of the side marker lenses after paint so I took both lenses off untill I get new ones which will be soon, and the seats will be done over the winter I got a couple different quotes that ranged from $1800-$2800 for all leather and $900-$1800 for vinyl that is for the 2 front seats and back seat. I may have a hook up though on getting them done from a quality company

Also in these pictures the car was not fully bagged

looks great!

but please... pay more attention to cleaning the engine bay.

180hp in 1989 or 145hp in 2002, you decide. >

^^I was about to say that.

You have the interior, exterior done. Now its time to address the engine bay. Polish or powdercoat some things in there so it matches the cleanliness of the rest of the car.

azncav- Thanks I do once in awhile check ebay for katskinz, but I want to keep it all black

Fox- In time I plan on swapping to a 2000+ centre consule, and use those shift boots and get them redone to match the interior

WHITECAVY- Im not doing much work to the engine bay until I do the engine swap, I may powdercoat a few things but not going to do a lot until the swap, plus im still not 100% done the interior or the exterior, but I do agree I need to give the engine bay some love

z yaaaa- I ran out of time and money before this show to get my engine bay detailed like I did last year, the picture below may not do it justice but this is from when the deatailer detailed the engine bay. It looked like it could have come off the showroom floor so to speak. I did try cleaning it myself with this stuff we use at work but still didnt do a great job

dcampbellz24- here it is out of the car

If I didnt know any better (and a lot of people don't), I would mistake that for a BMW 3 series from a distance. Your car screams SEX. Dont listen to these guys, girls dont give a crap about a clean engine bay, just what goes on INSIDE! j/k... kinda lol

Soapy, well thats undertandable if you want to wait for your engine swap to give it some love. Can't wait to see.

I just wish this car was a different color so all of that c/f could POP. A nice silver or even a blue would make that c/f really stand out.

Love the work you've done so far.

Thanks everybody

BaggedOn20s- I have thought of a different colour, but I always in the end decide not to, I love the way the cf blends in with the black and really only pops when the sun hits it. Kind of like my paint job which is crystal black pearl so you can only see the difference in the sun. I am however going to get the car repainted nighthawk black pearl maybe this coming winter if not next winter. All my interior that is painted is night hawk black pearl. It was a last minute change to paint it crystal black pearl and im not 100% happy with the outcome of how the colour looks the paint job and body work is great though

I can side with you on the color, since I have never seen it in person I'm sure it really pops in the sun.

Always love the work, keep it up bro.

And people use to think I went crazy with cf

Not too shabby

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

Can you give me about 3-4 hours with your engine bay? I will do wonders with it. It will be a nice touch for this summer with the 2.4 in it.

If I find some free time that could be possable I would have to get back to you on that, what do you have in mind and what would it cost

I turned out awesome man. The interior is looking nice. I can't wait to see the new wheels. Got anything in particular planned for that?

Tuck as many wires as possible, relocate the cruise, alarm solenoids for air ride, etc.
Day or 2 would be the time frame.
