Instead of me buying wheels that i like the color of i've just been painting my wheels how i like. i've gone through a lot of colors but i think this one that i've painted a few days ago is by far my favorite. call me crazy but i love it. here are a few pics of recent colors and my latest color. all comments and input welcome. some will like it and some wont.

Looks like he used that color shifting spray can stuff you can get at any parts store.

Not a big fan of the flat black, and LOVED the gold the best(gold on white is sooo sexy), but that's all personal opinion. Not a fan of the current color.

Daniel: well my wheels when i bought them new they were gunmetal from the factory. i just stripped the gunmetal off and scuffed the surface and layed a few light coats of whatever color you want, and then one final heavy coat to get the gloss and shine. i've painted about 30 sets of wheels by now, but the chameleon is by far my favorite that i've ever sprayed. i dont use a gun, i just buy spray paint from any auto parts store, home depot, lowes, or walmart. they all have different colors and textures. the chameleon or (color shift) you can buy at oreillys or autozone. i havent seen it in our local advance stores. it'll be in the same area as the chrome black paint from duplicolor. its a 3 stage setup with black base, your pearl, and your clear. it tells how to lay it and its very easy! any more questions just ask away. but i wont be on for a while after tonight.

JL: yea i liked the gold too but that was my 2nd set i had painted. i just didnt like the way it flowed with what i wanted to do with the black trunk and black hood. but i havent painted them gold recently since i have had the two tone. i think it might look pretty good if i were to clear them. i'd actually like to find a really copper color bronze if i can. i've been looking around but cant find anything like what im looking for and its too much of a hassle to get it mixed with paint codes and all that for just a set of wheels. i'll just stick with this until i figure something else out. lol

I liked the gold the best.
Little tip though, before painting your wheels, try taking them off. The wheel nuts look ghetto.
