Cheap Mods?
Wednesday, April 20, 2005 3:06 PM
Ok, so I just bought a cav 2001 z24. Now I have owned several civics in the past, and know quite a few little mods you can do your self for free, or cheap... Like removing the resonator on the intake....Etc. Anything like that on the 01 z24's????

Also I realize this has probably already been asked, I'm sorry I only searched for 10 min's .

Thanks for any help

bombz intake- $40
bombz crank pulley- $50
pacesetter header- $150
Upper and lower engine mounts- $80 or so

That should get you started

Why engine mounts? And where would I find bombz?

Look on ebay for the bombz intake and pulley. Also the engine mounts help transfer power to the wheels by stiffening the engine and not letting it move, normally under acceleration the engine rocks slightly with the polyurathane mounts this movement is prevented thus getting the power to the wheels quicker.
